We report the quantification of a membrane-bound phospholipase C in human epidermis
which is active against the physiologically relevant substrate, phosphatidylinositol 4, 5-
bisphosphate. The level of this enzyme is significantly increased in the psoriatic lesion, both
on a weight and protein basis. Etiological implications of this observation are discussed.
